Day Programs
Customized to the needs of the individual
The Arc of Space Coast operates a life skills development program at our main facility in Rockledge.
As we do with all of our programs, the scheduling options we offer are customized to the needs and goals of our individuals. Some of our people target employment skills and community participation, while others are more focused on personal management and household skills building.
We provide art, music, exercise, reading, and job skills development in a ratio of 1:3, 1:5, and 1:10 based on the needs of each group and individual.
We accept both Medicaid Waiver and private pay options.
Enrich Program
This full-day therapeutic program is designed to meet the needs of individuals with significant intellectual and physical challenges. Our qualified staff carefully monitors the health and well being of each individual during activities, as well as provide a nurturing, stimulating environment each day.
I-Force Work Experience Program
This program contracts with several local business partners to offer paid work opportunities in areas such as:
Packaging
Assembly
Individuals learn valuable work skills and are paid minimum wage.
COM/PASS Program
This one-of-a-kind program has six distinct program areas:
- Personal Management
- Community Participation
- Employment
- Habilitation
- Household Organization
- Personal Enrichment
COM/PASS is tailored to each student’s pace and support need. Everyone learns at his or her own pace and chooses what level of support works best for them
With the help of their coach, each student develops a personal portfolio that might include a daily record of progress, personal successes, and achievements in written notes, photographs, awards, and/ or on video, CD, or tape.
Life Skills Level III Program
Offered mornings and afternoons each day, this program includes:
Household Organization
Daily Living Activities
Budgeting
Community Skills
Using our COM/PASS Curriculum we help develop, maintain, and enhance a variety of skills. This program is funded through Florida’s Home and Community Based Waiver.
The Arc of Space Coast Advocacy Council
Created by our Community Day Program recipients, the members of this council were elected by their peers to serve as advocates for their needs at The Arc of Space Coast and in the community. They help plan monthly events and field trips.
